Hope this improves with OOTP16

Here's a good example of why I truly hope that storylines are greatly improved in 16 to take account of singular events. In the 22nd year of my fictional league, I finally had my first player get 3,000 career hits. The storyline for this was basically no different than if it was the player's 2,000 hit. In fact much of it centered on the fact that the player's team still lost the game despite his feat. So here's hoping we'll see better storylines soon.

That's not a storyline, it's a news article.

They are much improved in 16 (both storylines and news articles)

Thanks Markus. There will definitely be a big improvement for V16, but even bigger for V17, 18, 19, 20, etc. if I had to guess

To the original poster, can you please post here or PM me the text of this story?

I will go into the text database and find it and see if it needs to be tweaked or adjusted. I can alsol maybe take the emphasis off the losing bit if necessary ... and maybe add in a couple new stories to this category while I'm there

Cole, Here's the original text of the story:

"Willie O'Toole's bat made good contact with the ball as he has many times in his career, but this time it added his name to an elite list of players with 3,000 hits. The Washington second baseman went to the plate 4 times and racked up 1 hit to gain the honor. But the Capitols couldn't pull off a win--they fell to the Philadelphia Philosophers 6-3. Lifetime O'Toole is batting .314 and has totaled 168 home runs."

As you can see, it's very mundane for such a momentous occasion, and he is the only one in league history to do this. By the way, I like the pop-up box idea.

I remember those days and I don't know why Markus left it out. I was a very cool feature I loved.
