Preorder through App Store?

is there anyway to preorder through the App Store on Mac, because I want to buy the game using an Itunes gift card I have.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but the concept behind preordering is that you do it here with more funds going towards the devs. And by doing so the consumer gets the game three days earlier.

So, no, I do not believe you can preorder anywhere but here.

It is always recommended to buy from ootp's web store but not everyone can. Every purchase helps the way I look at it. If you buy from another place like steam or the mac app store then it gets the product more popular.

So purchase how you want but I do think the preorder is only steam. I remember in the past the getting something on the app store is a pretty long process. Steam and app store tend to get updates late as well because they have to be approved first.

No pre-orders through the Mac App Store, but the game will arrive there, just not right away. Steam and our site will be first. Also, no pre-orders are available on Steam, but you can add it to your wishlist there.
