My experience is that OOTP save folders tend to be *extremely* large, as they include the logos, uniforms, ballpark pictures, and other media, and then on top of that have separate text files for each and every news story, scouting report, and any other text-based thing you can look at in-game. I think the game may want to eventually interact with some kind of database-based solution just to lessen the sheer number of things in that folder, but I'm not sure if that would actually make the file all that much smaller TBH.

Hey Matt,
I am currently looking at the HOF plaques, how can anyone tell that the stats listed there have ML stats in them, or are those comments coming from a beta tester who was referring to their own first look at the game?

The random name feature is extremely valuable in conjunction with random debut to eliminate duplicate player names and add to the unknowability of players if one employs--as I do--multiple leagues stocked with random debut "real" players. As it stands now I have to manually alter player names one-by-one which, while sometimes quite entertaining, is nevertheless a tedious and time-consuming process.

I don't remember who pointed it out in this thread, but likely someone who noticed in previous versions. Just because we redid everything with the HOF doesn't mean that some of the same bugs from before exist.

If a guy is the most dominant pitcher in Japan for 15 years, then comes over and spends his final season in the MLB, when he's elected to the *** HoF he'll also appear in the MLB HoF (with a career stat line of 5-9, 5.32 or whatever). There really needs to be a fix made so that guys will only appear in the Halls that they actually qualified for/were inducted into...

But going forward, if you have it set up to wait 5 years and having guys stay for up to 10 years on the ballot, year 1 you'll have a lot of guys on the ballot for the first time, and some guys will fall off the ballot before their 10 year marks, but everyone from those 15 years will get at least one chance to get voted in.

I simmed ahead for show (but not saved) and I have 2 league HOF's automatically inducted. Is there an option where you can use the same HOF settings that has always been there. I don't want to turn off the new HOF, or I might have to convert deeper in the offseason or before the end of my current season

I don't believe so. During Beta I didn't even think about being able to turn it off because I wanted to test it, so your question was like a head slap. I just went and scoured the league setup pages and couldn't find an option to turn it off. If it's there Markus hid it well and will have to chime in on where it is.

I will say I do love this feature as it doesn't happen a lot (a hand full of times in 2 months of testing-playing out each game). Keep in mind it's not just rainouts but suspended games(suspended and completed later) if you are tied in the 7th or later and games called after 41/2 or 5 innings if one team is leading.

LOL, I thought about that after I asked my question. I always ban domes in all my leagues. Oh and Toronto is never allowed to play in their real park. I know in the long run, I will end up loving rainouts, but was hoping for a safety valve. No big deal.
