What format are logos, caps and unis in now?

I know that a gz_raw file is some type of archive, but what format are the image files inside? When I right-click the image file inside the gz_raw to check what type of file it is it's just listed as a "file". Is this some new-fangled proprietary format of some sort?

That would be correct!

So why was the decision made to use a proprietary format?

Okay, thanks. So there's no way to open one of these files? I'd like to at least study one of the logo files so that I can try and emulate the style if I want to expand my league and add custom logos. The old circular glass logos I've used in the last few versions will look ridiculously out of place aesthetically in this new environment.

I'm using the glossy circle logos, they look pretty good.

That's fine. Any info at least on how big the logos are? Do they use a transparent background? It's difficult to gauge where the logos end and the background begins.

No clue on size, sorry.

I think they must use a transparent background though.

I'd like to be consistent if I can. Mixing logo styles looks kinda icky IMHO.

Can the game can still read png files? Can we still insert png files in these folders and mix them with these proprietary image files? Will they play nicely together under the covers?

The your league.lg\news\html\images\team_logos folder shows the result of what is 'housed' within the gz_raw files.

There's just standard logos (150x150) and of course can be replaced by custom ones.

Cool. I didn't think to look there. Thanks for the info.
