Hey Tx, love this logo! We'd like to use it as our online league logo. Can we get it editted to say National Baseball League, with NBL in the center?

knuckler... couldn't do anything with Northfield, Massachusetts... just a small, isolated town not noted for much... not on an interstate highway... evangelist Dwight L. Moody had a school there... held religious meetings there... soon became a summer resort of sorts.

Here's the best I can do... I included some logo ideas.

NORTHFIELD NIGHTHAWKS
NORTHFIELD NORTHERNS... located on the northern edge of the state.
NORTHFIELD THUNDERBATS... heavy hitters with "thunder in their bats"
NORTHFIELD TRAILBLAZERS

I decided to name Norwich the Neptunes for both the alliteration and for the history of the area. Norwich itself has a harbor, but the area includes New London (home of the Coast Guard Academy, Groton (home of a submarine base and museum) and Mystic Seaport. I used the center of this logo awhile back for DC's Baltimore Atlantics, but I like it a lot and thought it fit here with a change of colors.

Norwich Neptunes #2 (the lighter blue) is really outstanding... I especially like the way you pictured the waves in the water.
The Trident, blue water and sky are a very creative touch... you said a lot in a very simple design.

I think that's why your logos and jerseys are so much appreciated... your creations always show up well in OOTPB because they are simple in design... fancy designs are great at 300 x 300, but lose a lot at 150 x 150 and smaller.

I debated naming this team the Providence Reds after the Rhode Island Red breed of chicken, but I settled on Bees since the city was known as the Beehive of Industry.

I think a river-themed name would be great. Or you can borrow a name I used for Ft. Collins in one of my dynasties and name them the Brattleboro Profs. Or Middlebury. Anyplace with a college and university.

Profs is a neat idea for Middlebury and could work for New Haven as well, maybe using an owl as their symbol like Rowan University does. I was leaning toward Middlebury Otters for Otter Creek, but I really like Profs so I'm not too sure now. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thank you all for the feedback, it really is helpful and much appreciated. I originally had the honeycomb as gold which made it stand out a little better, but then the bee itself was too washed out.

Knuck -- If you spare time, would you mind making a Salt Lake City Bees logo like the one you made for Providence? I could use one for my fictional league and your version absolutely trumps the one I've made myself.
