Career ending injury!

Just lost Joey Gallo 31 games into his ML career to a concussion. Is there anything I can do? I'm new to the game. Just tried to close out the game but it saved.

Go to his editor and scroll down were its says injuries and uncheck "career-ending" you can also change how many days he will be on the DL

To edit his injury status, you'll need to switch to 'Commissioner mode' (which is like god-mode) first. You can find that option in one of the tabs in your Manager Settings panel - don't have the game open now, but most people here will be able to help you find it if you need help.

Then open Gallo's profile, click the Editor tab, and scroll down on the left side. If he retired already, you might need to reassign him to one of your minor league affiliates or else he'll be a free agent.

Not trying to knock you or force you to play a certain way, but I want you to consider that this is the kind of stuff that happens in real-life baseball before you go crazy with the editing. I know that's got to be incredibly disappointing to lose Gallo like that, but Adam Greenberg and Brien Taylor never had the luxury of "undoing" their injuries.

Play your game however you want, don't let me stop you; just throwing it out there that, for all we know, that could actually happen this year.

Exactly this. Great example, I traded for Jay Bruce in the offseason, lose him for 6 weeks to injury, called up an AA prospect and somehow my phillies are in second place and 2 games behind Washington in June 2016 (yeah I did a huge revamp, stole Bruce from the Reds and dumped Hamels, Utley, and Papelborn for grade A prospects/rookies from contenders). You never know what can happen in this game. I say keep going with your game, who knows you might win the WS even without Gallo or make a big steal on a trade.
