I've been playing the game almost nonstop since release. Current, fictional and historical. There is no doubt: this is the best version ever.

I really have to agree with this. The more I play the more I enjoy, and the more little things that I notice. It looks very polished, and I'm really enjoying the award icons and the hall of fame voting. There seems to be a lot of little things that add up to make it a great experience too - Meet the Team, Postseason Leaderboards, multiple shortlists, the hover over a player's name, locking a team's logo, etc.
It all adds up to the best version yet. |

The hover over a player's name is just awesome.

Agree...love the hover over popups use 'em often. I will be referring to them as hover-pops.....
And I am down with the rainouts as well.

Face Gen looks like it skipped the next generation and went two steps ahead.
So polished, so well. Still has a hiccup or two, but still! |

To me, the best version of OOTP is always, the next one. I have no idea as to how they can top this one, but I am confident that OOTP 17 will be even better.

I tend to disagree. When they scraped the original code a ways back, the first version was very rough to get use to and had alot of issues that we had to cope and smooth out with, mainly by type on this board.

The first game Markus did with SI was by far the least fun of the series for me, and it scared some folks, but he quickly righted the ship and I think the decision to scrap the code has been more than vindicated by this point. If I remember correctly, the new code got rid of a lot of limitations of the old code, and I think that switch over is probably the main reason the game has been able to become what it is today (other than Markus himself, of course.)

Yes, that was a very bad year.
