Instances of Quitting to Play Other Sports...
Ok, I recall in OOTP 2015 getting one or two players every thirty years or so leaving baseball to pursue their football dreams. Cool, I guess. I've played about three test seasons of 2016 and have four top prospects reverse-Jordans (well, two basketball and two football).
Is this feature turned up? Is it a coincidence that it's always top prospects? Any way to tell from the personality matrix if someone is a two-sport star? For example, I was doing a historical test run and drafted Ivan Calderon (Rd 1) and Tom Browning (Rd 2) post-1983 season. Both flipped one month after the draft. |

I'm not going to tell you how to fix this.

well, i don't want to "fix" it because it's reality. i just want to know about it. the ironic thing was, i'm pretty sure, that i drafted bo jackson in that same draft.
(edit: i know i can turn off storylines and/or unretire players.) Last edited by SwedishChef; 03-24-2015 at 12:33 AM. |

It actually happens quite a lot, but usually because the guy sucks at baseball.....

i have a hard time believing that Alvaro Espinoza was a first round NFL draft pick.
issues/questions: 1. when doing historic sims and ghosting the farm system rather than filling it with fictional players, i notice the uptick in this occurrence. is there any reason to believe that the code contains a certain amount of randomness like this that is more likely to happen to any one individual player when the "pool" is smaller. for example, let's say this is scheduled to happen 5 times a year. it wouldn't be noticed as much if you're playing with a universe of 10,000 players as it is when playing with 1,200. 2. is there an indication when drafting that a certain player was a two-sport star? is that in a scouting report that i'm just missing? |
