Independent League Transactions?

It appears the Indy league teams are signing and releasing players the same day. Is there a reason for this?

Maybe they're giving them 1 game tryouts? I doubt it, it just seems feasible to me.

Not necessarily (if you sign a guy to a contract for one game, and the game is at midday then you could release him as soon as it's over).

I suspect though that this is related to the old sign and release bug, which had to do with roster sizes.

Everything is default. No changes were made to any of the settings in game.

2015 Totals...
3 games, 6 plate appearances for Rockford
2 games, 4 plate appearances for Joliet.

My last screen shot was of Bubba Jones, history.

Im on my phone using Jump desktop to access OOTP so screen shots are directly from my phone.

So based on the transaction screen and his history, he did not have any at bats for:
Gateway
Lake Erie
Southern Illinois
Schaumburg
And Southern Illinois (again)

Minor league teams have the same issue.

Some of what you are experiencing has to do with injuries. The teams will fill in for injured players by signing another player and keeping him until the injured player comes back. I think a lot of the one day sign and release issues have to do with player fatigue.
Also with the IND and minor league teams just because they sign a player doesn't mean he's on the active roster. So not having stats isn't an indication of problems.

Look closer at what was happening with the teams when they were doing these sign and releases and you will see why it was happening.

Probably a dumb question, but I have no knowledge of independent league and how they work in OOTP. Do they make use of a reserve roster? If so, does that reserve roster have a limit set?

Reserve roster, 15 players limit. Some have an active roster max size of 22, some 25.
