Manager getting GM Contract Updates

I am playing as manager only yet my email in inundated with contract negotiation updates obviously sent to the GM. Why would I be privy to these? I can understand when a player is signed, released. But the negotiations? Is this a bug?

Nobody? Markus, is this by design? So I can see what my GM is doing?
