Better communication from GM

Playing as Manager of the Mets and Brandon Allen was placed on waivers and DFA while a rookie Shortstop was called up. Which is cool, except as Manager I didn't know any of this happened. I happened to look at the transactions log where I saw all the activity. Now I make sure I look at the log to keep an eye on my GM and make sure he doesn't put Murphy on waivers or something that really affects my lineups/rotations.

Can we get an email or something from the GM that says "hey, I just demoted your fifth starter to AAA. You may want to update your rotation." That would be extremely helpful.

I've gotten into the habit of looking at the transaction log (which is annoying as it takes longer to load than it seems like it should) and looking to see who's been moved around. But, I agree. I should get a message every time a player on the team I'm managing is moved off/on.

When I played as a manager in OOTP 15, assigning all transactions to the AI, I always got messages about player moves. It's odd that OOTP 16 should be different.

Yes, I'd like to see that too. Just a quick mail saying so and so has been moved to AAA etc. I had a similar thing happen. Went to check my lineups and one of my players had disappeared and then saw there had been a roster move by the GM. Love it but would just like to be informed about it

Playing as manager, i get tons of emails about contract negotiations which I have nothing to do with. thats the gm. Anyone else have this?

Yes I get that. Seems a bit off to get them really as the player is replying to the GM's contract offer and not to me as Manager.

We're trying to eliminate them. Last week I went through and prevented a bunch of emails from getting to those who play manager-only, but looking through I found another one I missed. That will be fixed for the next patch.
