Why are my Award Names not changing? Help no Help?

First off...I looked in the Help File. I would really like an Index or Search. This is why I rarely go through the Manual (as was suggested on another thread), because normally, I like to use it as a reference. But mostly, because I can never find anything.

I couldn't find a search or index function. I went to the Customizing Menu but saw no mention of it. (see attached) even after I opened each one.

ANYWAY...what I am having a problem with is that I have changed the names of my Awards to, for example "Gold Glove" instead of "Great Glove" (see pic), yet the "Great Gloves" are still being handed out??

Does anyone know why? And is there a Search or Index somewhere that I am missing?

Our manual is in the process of being updated.

As for great gloves still being handed out, I don't see that in the tests that I have. My games all the events and award names are changed. The one place we still call it "Great Glove" is in the achievement, and that's called as the achievement is global, and independent of leagues, so we don't rename that. But everything else I see as changed immediately. If that's not the case, please post a screenshot and potentially league files and we can look into it.

Go back and check that the awards actually have the names you gave them. Also, if you have more than one league, they need to be changed in each.

I have noticed that if you change the names after a certain point, the new names will not show up in news accounts until the following year.

I changed the names of the award at the beginning of creating this New Game.

I just checked and Jackie Bradley got the "Gold Glove" Award when I check his History.

However, I KNOW that, when that Big Flashy Announcement Thingy came up (where it announces Rookie of the Month, etc), that it said "Great Glove". I should've taken a pic of that, because as soon as it came up, I clicked OKAY and then checked my settings.

I have no idea how to get to that screen where the Silver, Bronze, etc achievements are to check this.

Which was Matt's point - if you're talking about the achievements screen, it's always going to show "Great Glove". Because the achievements are global; they're not tied into the award names of your league.

Think of it this way: a player in your league wins a Gold Glove. You, as the OOTP player - not your in-game persona - unlock the "Great Glove" achievement for having a player win a Gold Glove.

Sorry, the picture was not there the first time when I posted.

I did not know that the "Achievements Screen" was Global. Wouldn't it make sense to make that editable for the Game Player? To me, it just looks silly when that "Great Glove" (and the other pre-edited Award Names) come up. I never individually check any of my players before, I just figured changing those Awards did no good, or I was doing something incorrectly.

As for your "unlock" explanation, it makes sense game-wise, but I'd still rather NOT have it, since THAT is the big Splash Screen that announces it.

To me, it is like having Manfred announce that Jackie Bradley won the Great Glove Award and Jackie's plaque reads "Gold Glove".

This is just nitpicking, but I think it would be nice to be able to change it.
