All player ratings are displayed relative to?

Hello All,

I have a fictional league that has a major league, five levels of minors, a college level and a high school level.

In the global setting window there is an option to set "all player ratings are displayed relative to" and a drop down menu to select the level of my fictional league.

Should I select the highest level in my fictional league?

Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

Well, it's your choice... it depends on what you want to find out. By default, I'd select the highest league, yes.

As long as you're managing a team in the highest-level league, then you'll usually want to keep it on the major league level, unless you're focusing on moving players about in the minors, in which case changing this option could help you better rank your prospects.

What it does is it compares the players to the average skill of whatever league you select. So your stud 19-year-old prospect, even though he'd be rated half a star overall right now at the major league level, might be a 5-star player compared to everyone else in rookie ball. It's very useful for evaluating where your prospects are currently at in their development.

I understand now, thank you soooo much for your explanation:-)

When I set mine to display all ratings relative to MLB, my scout overall ratings and the OSA overall ratings are identical. Does anyone else have that problem?
