Whoa! What's up with Personality?

I have to spend more time under the hood of this game. When did these extra personality traits get added? Was it this version? What do they affect, positively or negatively?

Now, those new personality traits have nothing to do with morale, which is handled in this section. So, whoa, what's up with Personality?

I would imagine Handle Success, Handle Failure, and Handle Critics would tie in with morale over player performance. That would only make sense. I think it would also make sense if adaptability had some impact on morale over team chemistry, team role, and team transactions.

That's just speculation, though.

Good speculation. Maybe Matt or somebody else who knows for sure can explain this one. I like this aspect of the game (which makes it more challenging, handling potentially difficult personalities). I'd like to know more.

I like the summary too, heh. "Personality Class" which is not always classy!

The first screen print that I showed (which I swapped out because I cut off the last trait), summarized the guy as "prankster." I'd like to see that assessment in the game someplace rather than just the editor.

Yeah, I'm not sure if that shows up in the character makeup portion of the scouting report or something, but I have had my bench coach ask in his clubhouse report if I know any good jokes because no one in the clubhouse seems to, so it does seem to be taken into consideration.

Pranksters show up in the bench coach report, and you can read them in his personality description (I imagine his would say something like, "he has a great sense of humour"). How that impacts the rest of the game, I won't say

As for the ratings, they've actually been around for a few versions, but just never used. I won't go into details, but generally speaking they are used partly to determine personality, and are used as modifiers for morale, and are also used in interaction with the manager, as well as potentially other areas. As you can imagine, someone with a low adaptability rating might not get along so well with a coach who is very strict.

Unusually close-mouthed for you, but thanks for dispensing some nuggets of knowledge at least. Intriguing . . . as you intended to leave this, no doubt! ()

Easy to do, unless you're Bru. Had to be an explanation. I don't know if it offered any additional info, but thought you'd want to know about it, if but for completeness' sake.

Yes, thanks. I compiled what I gleaned just now from the two threads into the attached text file. I like how Matt, et al., are keeping close to the vest on this one. You know what they say about familiarity taking the zest out of romance, eh? [Hmmm. Somebody has said something like that, yes? ]

Is there a way to search for people with this personality? My coach has been telling me we need more jokes for a couple of years now! haha

Stupid question alert; how does one get a bench coach report?
