Is searching so difficult? Most of those are already in there. The few that are not, I will have to see if there are actual Hispanics with that name. Of the ones you listed, only "de la Crux", which we have already discussed and "de la Torro" are not in there.

Remember, this is a Hispanic name list, not a Spanish name list. There are not a lot of Spaniards (read "zero") playing major league baseball. Though there is a lot of crossover among the two groups, they are not 100% interchangeable.

Also tons of Spanish names are found in Latin America those named in that web site I met people with many of those names when I was in Mexico, DR, Puerto Rico, Panama and Nicaragua. Many of those names came with the spaniards and remained in Latin America so the odds are someone with that name could play pro or regional baseball either in their home country or the USA

You don't think I have Diaz, Fernandez, Garcia, Hernandez, Lopez, Martinez , Pena, Rivera, Romero, Sanchez, etc.???

Let me just say this: without exaggerating, I have put thousands of hours into these name lists. They may not be perfect, but they are absolutely the best derned lists anybody has ever made for any similar purpose under the sun. I have no desire to put more research time into the last names for Americans or Hispanics as they are both satisfactory for my use. My current efforts are towards getting good first name lists for different eras, which is a whole lot more work, by the way.

However, that being said, if anyone spots errors or omissions I am happy to edit the lists. But I do not think it is too much to ask that the person submitting a name for inclusion has 1) verified that it isn't already there and 2) has done their best to determine that the name actually belongs in the list.

I have no desire to do all the research again, which is basically what you are asking me to do by handing me this list.

Sorry, dd not mean to sound so rude.

If you go through that list and find names that are not in my lists and give them to me, I will check them out and add them if they are appropriate. I just have no desire to dig through the list myself.
