"Cannot draft player, your roster is full" - Rule 5 Draft

So, I keep getting this error when I go to draft a player in the Rule 5 draft. I went into my minor leagues and releases 3 players, but still didn't work.

Is this a bug? Is this a rule and i'm missing something?

Rule 5 guys have to stick on the MLB 25 man the entire year, and thus need 40-man space. DFA a couple guys.

Yea sounds like you have no room on the 40 man roster
