Free Agent Compensation

Hey guys-

I'm in a league that's trying to move away from trading amateur draft picks and adding FA comp back into the league rules. Owners still want to trade picks AND have people comp eligible, but it opens the can of worms of trading your top picks and signing top FAs, kind of screws the system.

Is there a date in the game where FA comp eligible players no longer get comp picks? So if a comp-eligible guy goes unsigned until July 1st he's no longer tied to a pick? I know they have this in real life, but not sure how to set it up in the league. This would help GMs trade picks and still have compensation for FAs.

It was used to be a free agent would have to sign before spring training to get a comp pick in the current draft (assuming default draft date) and by June 1st to get a comp pick in the next draft.

No idea if this was changed like everything else in the most recent patch.
