This made me think ...
Has anyone attempted to create a team to go 162-0? I assume a team of perfect players would achieve that, but would wonder at what point would that stop being true? |

I once had a team go 150-12. Lost that season to a glitch, but that's by far the best I've ever had any MLB team do. Even with edit experiments, the top-out is usually 125-135 wins.

What if you had 9 hitters who do NOT make outs (basically bat 1.000) face pitchers who do nothing but get batters out (OBP of .000)? What would happen? As I recall, in 1984, the sim gave the advantage to the hitters, but I don't really remember how much it was slanted. I don't see, using ratings, how OOTP could answer this question. The older sims that used stats to run the simulations (especially "replay" sims) could do it, though.

I created an All Star team of the best players of all time and they won around 130 games but lost the WS in 7 to a 91 win Astros team. Astros were fictional players. i should redo this with an RD league.

Interesting to note, though, how the game will not let things get too out of hand, even with a maximized player. So, while you do see batting averages over .500, which itself is amazing, you cannot make a superhuman who bats near 1.000. Similarly, the limit on homers seems to be in the mid-seventies. That is, with league modifiers on normal, which I assume yours are (you did not say). If so, try this again and crank those babies up - see what happens! Heh, I bet you end up with a lot of "maximum digit capacity exceeded" stars instead of numbers.

lol but to be fair, never has been a player with such ridiculous numbers in real life. At a quick glance, he probably has more WAR then the top 5 members combined!
If I player like that was real, they'd probably open the gates to Cooperstown early for him.
