Define fun. Good veterans or strong group of prospects? DH or no DH? Great defense or 1970's Reds?

Yes, please define your idea of fun.

Is it more fun for you to go through a long rebuild?

Is it more fun for you to start winning instantly?

Is it more fun for you to not worry about winning so much but making lots of trades, etc etc?

I meant fun as in budget, park team name. Stuff that mostly stays the same over the years as opposed to players which constanly move

I always like Colorado because of what the park does to pitching. To paraphrase, "if you can win there you can win anywhere".

I second this. Plus they have one of the few unique color schemes in baseball.

I think the Blue Jays. They are more fun because you get to sing two national anthems before each game.

Do you actually sing?

I'm also in this same boat. I have a fictional game going, but I have won the title 3 of the first 4 years my expansion team has been around. Not very realistic.

I am looking for a team that will be a challenge. (Not a contender for several years, tough park, farm system that needs overhaul, prefer NL)

Interesting choice. I think I'm down to Rockies, Padres, Brewers, Marlins.

I recently went through a similar process of selecting a team for my MLB association. I finally ended up selecting a team from the AL East, as there is something about building a team that can keep the Yankees from winning the division. The other thing was that there are some very proud franchises in that division which I could build stories for (at least for me that helps).
