Management style

What management style is the best in this game? I'm currently doing GM only. I simmed the first season unemployed and took over the Colorado Rockies because they had the worst record. I'm 4 years into the game and was able to get into the playoffs and barely win the World Series last year. I thought I made some pretty decent upgrades during the offseason, and now my team can barely stay above .500. I fired all of the coaching staffs when I took over and hired managers that have a "normal" personality. Do I need to hire assholes or what?

Depends on your players, too. If you have a lot of players with high leadership you can be safe with a more easygoing manager.

Personable, Easygoing - Team with high leadership, loyalty, and work ethic. High intelligence is good too. If your team is a bunch of vets signed to long term deals, these guys tend to be better.

Normal - Mixed bag of personalities, often first time taking over a team that's rebuilding I'll hire a normal manager.

Temperamental - Team with high leadership and high desire to win. I like these guys since they tend to win more than others, especially if you have a streaky team.

Controlling - Team that has little leadership, low work ethic, etc. I like these guys for my minors teams, but I would never hire one at the big league level.
