Question regarding young roster
After dumping all my good players for youngsters with potential, how can i manage them the best to develop?
I have 18/21/23 year old players with pot of 71+, and my MLB roster is full of loosers, should i just give them the roster spot ? Or keep them at a minor league? Will it harm the developemt of a prospect if i throw him in the fire on the MLB roster? Also, how old is too old for a player to really develop? I have this guy with 27 years, and he is pot is 77 and his overall is still 22. His BNP numbers look really great but he hasnt manage to put a good season yet, does this mean this player will not develop at all? If not, should i just surrender on him? Thank you, i am really interested in hearing any thoughts on this. |

Nobody develops well if he's hopelessly overmatched. Put your prospects at levels where they're competitive. If your MLB guys are loosers (better than tighters, I think), you'll just have to endure some seasons in the cellar. That's the downside of your rebuilding strategy.
My impression is that POT far above OVR is a delusion after a player reaches his late 20's. One often sees those discrepancies in aging veterans. I treat is as a forlorn hope. |
