Question For those that draft with lowest level of A or higher..

I am finding my R and SA leagues intriguing but somewhat hard to manage. I think with so many players that won't advance, I still may make it harder than it needs to be.

I know some people use A as their lowest minor league level. If you do that and still utilitize a draft, how do you do it?

Do the feeder teams end/players drafted before the season?

If not, how big is your roster or how do you manage it after the draft?

I may not change, but I was curious how others were doing it. Thanks as always.

I have only three levels of minors. Draft on June 15 in the middle of the season, bring in the new boys, and then release some old failed trash. I tend to start the season with about 28 players per minor league level, and I will have about 30 per level after the draft, but you always have injuries to cover for.

So many injuries...

Edit: Btw, I usually start a first rounder from college in AA rather than A. There's one instance in the last 15+ seasons, where I put a first rounder from college straight into AAA, and promoted him to the bigs in less than two months.

But I see no point in adding two or three more levels of minors, just to have more work and more worries. I am worrying well enough with this game as it is.
