Back to the Old 4/4 for Historical?
I was doing some Hall of Fame testing, and I noticed that instead of starting with 9 teams (split 5/4) in 1871, things were back to 8 (4/4). Similarly, the later part of the National Association, which was being recreated (albeit with 2 leagues), is no longer happening, either. Also, the awesome name changes are also gone.
![]() I'm a little disappointed to see this regression without it being noted in the patches. I was doing fine on 16.5.22, and had I known they were taking that part back out, I wouldn't have upgraded. ![]() Anyone else notice this?

Weird.
Pretty sure that wasn't touched at all in the patches. Nothing was mentioned about this, and I don't see anything that seems related being changed between 16.5.22 and 16.7.36 in the bug fix/change log. Not sure what you're seeing here, but its highly unlikely to be patch related. |

Yup tried 3 more times, same thing. ![]() I'm super disappointed about this. I would NEVER have changed to the new patch had I known they'd decided to regress things. It was really cool to watch the name shifts, and now it's going to be 8 months at the earliest before that happens again without tedious manual work. And no more Union League, Player's League, or Federal League, all of which used to show up and then go away, automatically, in the first versions of 16. I'm sure very few use this feature. But having it taken away is...sub-optimal.

That teams.csv file is from the Spritze database not OOTP. You are correct in that it does work and does provide much more historical accuracy but OOTP does not use it. Perhaps someone at OOTP got the files mixed up for a patch? You can get the teams.csv you are looking for in the Spritze database in the Mods/Database Tools sticky. Attached it here as well.

![]() For reference, I know how to do this, because I play with the Spritze database. So I've already replaced the old stats files with the Spritze stats files--it's the first thing I do when I patch. Something has changed somewhere from one patch to this one. I know this isn't a huge deal, but I am really bummed out.

To eliminate all possible options, I tried:
taking out Spritze, replacing with original stats --nope re-installing Sprtize --nope It's just not going to register the 9 teams or the additional leagues anymore for me. When we didn't have that, it didn't bother me. To lose it is a bummer. Takes away one of the ways I had grown used to playing/watching. I really hope that it makes it back into 17.

One last thing I forgot to try:
I removed the stats files I had downloaded for Spritze on August 1st, and replaced them with the Spritze files I had downloaded in May. I have no idea why, but when I did this, using the older (May) Spritze files, the 9 teams in 1871 loaded just fine. Weird. Anyway, if anyone runs into the same thing with the new Spritze, try the old Spritze you had before and see if it works for you. I am officially less disappointed! I didn't know that the 9 team was a Spritze addition, not in the vanilla stats files. Sorry for any confusion.
