Why is this a No-Hitter?
I just signed a starting pitcher in my game universe who I remembered had thrown a no-hitter the previous season, so I decided to look into the stats for that particular game. Shockingly, he only threw 70 pitches in the game, and didn't walk anyone either, so I figured he must have hit a batter or there was an error. But looking further into the stat line... he only pitched six innings. Maybe there was a rain-out or something, but I thought you had to go nine innings to receive credit for a no-hitter. This is in a fictional MLB game with modern MLB rules. Here's a picture of his stat line for the game, and his history which confirms a no-hitter.

You're right here is the official rule from MLB
An official no-hit game occurs when a pitcher (or pitchers) allows no hits during the entire course of a game, which consists of at least nine innings. In a no-hit game, a batter may reach base via a walk, an error, a hit by pitch, a passed ball or wild pitch on strike three, or catcher's interference. |

I guess the game just read that the game had no hits so called it a no hitter.

If I understand correctly, MLB fairly recently revamped the rules for what is a no hitter. I don't think OOTP has caught up since then.

Not so recent, 1991. But it can be left as-is as far as I'm concerned If you pitch a complete game and allow no hits, that's a no-hitter.

Yes. The old rule is the correct rule. Maybe OOTP is just waiting for MLB to come back to its senses.
