this is my two day stay-cation setup in my home office. You definitely have me beat on background scenery. But I am digging my screen setup.

12 year old me who was playing strat o matic, listening to the game on a transistor radio and doing all the math on scratch paper would look at this and think I must be a billionaire who won the lottery. this is beyond the scope of that kids wildest imagination and in 3 Giants world series titles in past 5 years and he would not believe you.

I agree with you on the Strat players keeping stats on sheets of paper. I remember those days fondly, but this is better.

However, I was shocked to learn of the death of beloved Astros owner Paco Gonzalez!

There are some days I miss my notebooks of stats that I would play out of the Strat games.... I went spreadsheet for awhile and then this did me in....

I still have old stats I kept from when I was a kid and it is fun to look backa them. I also have most of my old strat cards. All of it was great training to be the IT and Math jocknerd I turned out to be.

Have pulled out and played from time to time, but there is no going back. OOTP is the way to go.

my kids played a little strat with me, but they were just placating the old man. Now my oldest has gotten hooked on OOTP and it is funny how it has changed his whole perspective. Every real world trade this year he wanted to discuss the contract implications. funny.
