Suspended Game issues..
I did a search and couldn't find any other posts on this topic. I haven't been on the boards for a while so I may have missed this when it was brought up.
I'm seeing a fairly significant bug with suspended games: 1. Game resumes with players in the game that are either on the DL or have been traded to other teams. 2. Game resumes with same pitcher and pitch count as when the game was suspended. Is anyone else experiencing the same? |

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ded-games.html The first post in the topic mentions your second issue and the fifth post mentions your first issue. The last post in that thread gives the solution that I used, which was to install Questdog's http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ather-mod.html, which effectively disables the suspended game feature. However, I don't know if this has "officially" been fixed since Questdog's mod was one of the first things I installed when I started my league.

To be honest, I don't think suspended games should have been implemented as a feature.
Firstly, at the major league level, suspended games are rare. (They are more common at the minor league level, but that's because in the minors a game can be suspended at any point.) Secondly, if handled correctly, they introduce all sorts of statistical quirks because the statistics from a suspended game are credited to the date a game was started, not completed. (This means a player can be credited with an appearance date before the date he actually took the field, leagues standings are retroactively changed once the game is completed, etc.) Thirdly, the rules around suspended games have changed over time (e.g. the ability to suspended a major league game due to weather was introduced in 1980) as well as differing between the majors and minors. |

Thanks for all the feedback. In my current season (2036 with MLB quick start), I have three remaining suspended games plus 3 rainouts. Definitely the worst weather year I've faced so far.

For those wondering about the statistical quirks arising from suspended games, this article from MILB.com will provide some interesting examples related to an Aberdeen IronBirds game that was suspended.

Sorry for the bump, but is it safe to assume that this issue still exists after the final patch then?
As if it does then I'll stick with the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - Weather Mod |
