OOTP Essential tools, mods, info?

I'd be surprised if this doesn't exist but I didn't see it in my few minutes of searching. Is there a thread that concisely lists the "essential" tools, mods, and info for OOTP? There's been a ton of absolutely amazing additions (Justafan's uniform and logo creators, eriqjaffe's ballpark creator, the All-in-one mod, cephasjames' Nickname project, etc.). There are also a few often-referred-to posts like the one on how many feeder teams you need and how to play Stats Only. Are links to these collected in a sort of "essential resources" sticky thread? Do you think the various stickies within their sub-forums are enough?

Essential Tools - well, I guess that depends on how you play OOTP.

If you play fictional, those things will likely be much different than if you play MLB. Same for historical.

I think the All in One covers a lot, and depending on what one is trying to do with their league, a bit of searching will find the rest.

The posts that include things like how to edit World.XML used to be stickied and moved to the new forum with each version. I'll have a look and see if they got moved again this year. If not, we'll make it happen

Would like to see a thread for the Newbs to browse thru on files they would like depending on how they plan on playing. GMO's schedule thread is not stickied and was not in the top 5 pages in the Schedules sub-forum, yet it is the best schedule thread.

GMO's schedule thread is not stickied because GMO hasn't posted here in almost six years. As such, his schedule thread is woefully out of date. The updated schedule thread contains all of the links contained in GMO's thread (except for a few where the original posters deleted the schedule files), plus it includes links to all of the schedules that have been posted to the schedule sub-forum since GMO stopped posting back in late 2009.

I don't mind that I don't get any credit for the work that I put into creating and updating the new schedule list, but I get a bit peeved when you keep going around giving everyone outdated information. The updated list is comprehensive and up-to-date. It completely supersedes GMO's thread.

You might want to check out gRaider's Knowledge Thread. That used to be stickied, but I guess it isn't any more.

1. how is it outdated? I use the schedules in that thread for the majority of my leagues and they all work.
2. Never knew you made any contribution to the schedules found in there.
3. Do you have a link for this other schedules thread you mentioned?

1. It's not the schedules that are out of date, it's the list that's out of date. GMO stopped updating his list in November, 2009. Since then, quite a few schedules have been posted that are not in GMO's list.

2. True, I never contributed a schedule that is linked in GMO's list. Considering that GMO stopped updating his list over a year before I joined this site, that would have been rather difficult.
