Finally Taking The Plunge....In Detroit

Okay, as a lifelong Tiger fan I have never been able to actually play as them....to emotionally attached I think. Now through some MLB quickstarts with expansion, and a Fictional league I think I'm ready to do it.
I have a much better grasp on expectations, confirmation bias and small sample size. I'm ready to lead Detroit to the promised land. Any words of wisdom from ya'll before I get started (Will let the AI simulate the 2015 season, I will take over in the offseason)

Oh man!

What a time to start managing the Tabbies...just grab a mop and a bottle of Mr Clean and start scrubbing that roster.

Keep Miggy and deal away everyone else.

I say trade miggy to the Rays for a middle reliever.

IF able dump Verlader and many of the supporting cast even attempt to get Jose Fernandez or Archie Bradley.

Get rid of all of them. They don't win IRL so they're unlikely to win in a computer game.

I still play as Detroit but I traded many players. wasn't able to get rid of Verlander. Game kept saying he overpaid and too old LOL. darn darn darn. So I built around Verlander and Caberra. Got the job done WHEW. Don't be afraid to sacrifice your farm. I gave up so much but got the job done

was able to rebuild farm pretty quickly as not to be too concerned about the minors too long.

I did it this year as well. Lifelong Tigers fan and playing as them for the first time. In my first season and taking it quite slow. Only moves I've made is extending McCann and Iglesias through their arbitration years.
