Do DH's have lower incidences of injury?
If I have a fragile but dominant hitter who is very injury prone, would he have a lower incidence of injury if I moved him to DH over an outfield position?

Yes, because he will not have a chance to be injured on a defensive play.

Not really sure but in a league I'm running at the moment Ortiz got himself injured for 6 months, but that was caused by running the bases.

The way I look at it, is that there's a small chance a player will be injured every play. putting him at dh, significantly reduces his amount of plays which, in turn will reduce his overall injury chance

yes, just like a relief pitcher isn't as likely as a starter to be hurt.
play less = injury risk goes down. |
