Taking advantage of a lull...

Two painted over images are in two separate TV threads that are otherwise close to being done.

This is both HG563 and CA150, but with one of them reversed

This image turned up as both BC2522 and GI101. Several Reds art images exist, but I'm missing the boat here.

Two lingering Dodgers. Pretty sure they are minor leaguers, but ...

Emil Roy 1933 Philadelphia Athletics

Not quite as good as the head shot previously posted, but still pretty scarce:

Again, perhaps not as good as the FacePack head shot, but gives a different perspective:

Rear row, left to right: Bill Dunlap, Joseph Spears, William Wall, Foster Edwards, James Brush, Ken Jones, Ed Brandt, Bob Smith, Kent Greenfield, Hal Goldsmith, Joe Genewich and Art Mills.

Hal Haydel 1970 -Twins

Most searches come back with B&W pics or grainy out of focus color images of him as part of his 2 year stint with the Twins in 1970 & 71.

Found this color pic from a plaque of all things as listed by fahnqstore.com on ebay. Realize he was on a Topps 3 panel card so still hoping to have one appear of him out on the TV folders. Until then, this immediately became the leader in the clubhouse for me of what I've been able to locate color wise.

Bonus if anyone can apply their skills in lightening or adding any sharpness to it.

A.J. Hinch - 2004 Phillies

Are there any photos out there of current Houston Astros manager, A.J. Hinch from his brief time with the Phillies? Hinch was a September 2004 call-up who went 2 for 11 in 4 games in his final stop in the majors as a player.

Could the reverse pic be Hoyt Wilhelm?

John Pacella

Rockin' the 'stache. Pics of John without the 'stache appeared in the HN series, but the John Pacella I remember was the one with the fuzzy upper lip. In this Vault offering, he hasn't quite gotten to the handlebar deal he sported in 1980....but he's clearly well on his way.

Even better - and rarer. Pacella in the uniform of the Tigers, for whom he pitched just five times in 1986.

Joe Pactwa 1975

Here is the Angels' pitching find, picked up from Tampico of the Mexican League late in the MLB season of 1975 - who had been a perennial Yankees outfield prospect as long ago as Spring Training 1968.

More Pactwa

This is from Pactwa's days as "the next great Yankee outfielder." The image dates to spring training 1971.

Dave Pagan 1973

The best pitcher ever to come out of the wonderfully (for a pitcher) community of Nipawin, Saskatchewan, Canada. Yankee fans were treated to four seasons of being told the town was so small that Pagan's home phone number was 8.

As an original Seattle Mariner, before a trade to Pittsburgh in 1977.

Dennis Paepke 1969

Off-and-on Royals' outfielder from 1969 to the spring of 1975 and apparently a first-ballot inductee to the Baseball Carouser Hall Of Fame.

There's a resemblance, but the lefty thrower is the correct flip, and Hoyt was a righty.

Also think there's a slight resemblance to Jay Hook in the other, but there's nothing concrete to compare them to. It might wind up being best guess, but I thought that maybe these were sold on eBay at some point and someone remembered or saved the IDs.

We've gone this long not knowing. We have time.

But if the whole image is backwards he WOULD be a RH pitcher. Does look like Wilhelm's face, not sure what uniform this is..doesn't show up too well on my computer. Sorry!
