Do you remake the QS?

I was just wondering if others of you do like I do with the MLB quickstart.

In September I start to remake it to reflect the season that just passed. So for example the need to make players like Josh Donaldson or Arrietta better, or weaken a few players who had less than sub par seasons, and give some rookies a better starting rating such as Carlos Correa in Houston.

I do it to give me more of a start to the QS based on the season just finishing up, and then take it into the future from there?

Anyone else do this?

each to their own. don't worry about others in this context. do as you will. but since you asked, i'll tell you what i've done in the past.

just in case you missed it: there is a sept 1 roster update. you can get it through add-ons central in the game. there is a quickstart and a template i believe with updated rosters and some* updated player ratings.

in general, i don't mess with the ratings much. i don't play real players anymore due to their significant differences with newly created fictional players as time goes on... kinda sad about that, really. a big reason i enjoy these games is watching a player i like finish his career.

i did on occasion change jd martinez's power a bit, but i make sure he is still a K-fiend and keep him a .280-.290 hitter in the player profile editor. he's near enough to the 991ab the last 2 years for a realtively confident assesment of his new swing mechanics. if i can validate the change, i would do it, i guess. i only have this type of intimate knowledge on players from my home team - which also is a problem. i feel it's a slippery slope of being a "homer" or unrealistic.

Thhanks for the post.

Yes i know of the update but it just does rosters not update ratings based on 2015 play.

It takes me a while to update players but i really enjoy a more replay of the season.

I too like to take a 2 year old qs update the ratings then play

I have a "hacked" quickstart with a few changes: correct minors/international roster settings, miscellaneous rating changes, and of course league evolution turned off.

Right. We do update some ratings, quite a few in fact, but it's not really comprehensive by any means.
