Minor League roster freeze

I can't find a way to do this so I'm coming on here. I'm a bit tired of September 1st rolling around and seeing minor league juggernaut playoff teams lose their good players to roster expansion, which does not happen in real life. I was going to go around and try to freeze certain team rosters when play concluded on August 31st.

The problem is I'm only finding ways to freeze entire organizations (meaning the roster would be frozen for the major league team and all the minor league teams) or I do see an option to freeze the roster for an entire minor league. I'm trying to freeze just a few minor league rosters.

Try setting the expanded major league roster size to 30 instead of 40. It's not the same as real-life MLB, but it will stop the problems of minor league teams being gutted.

I don't know. All it takes is a couple of star players on that particular team and it could kill their playoff chances.

I'm looking for complete realism in this league anyway so I want to keep it at 40. If it were up to me, baseball wouldn't have this stupid expanded roster rule to begin with. But I play with the rules I both like and dislike.

With the way that the AI handles roster expansion (always calling up 15 additional guys no matter what and not playing a good amount of them) you're not going to get complete realism either way. I use 30 and I think it works out better, but that's just my opinion.

Yes, 30 would be better than 40. I may just have to delay the roster expansion until the minor league postseason is over. I tried freezing rosters for the entire minor leagues and it resulted in every single player disappearing so that is not an option.

I can't blame the game much on this because it has to be hard to tell the AI they can expand to 40 and not have them do it. Such a silly baseball rule anyway.
