These are items that have not been selected by you as part of your cap design. Only the items you have selected as part of your cap design will be active in this window. It's a nice visual way to quickly see what items make up your cap and can be colored in. |

Unbelievably I created two sets of jerseys using this remarkable justafan software.
Thanks for telling me to just jump in and do it. I really appreciate all of you guys... you really are a special group of talented and nice people. Last edited by Eugene Church; 09-17-2015 at 11:42 PM. |

I suppose justafan's great jersey creator doesn't include script lettering, does it?

My own current favorites are: Algerian Bosox (supposedly the Red Sox style) Centaur Colonial Dame (good for 19th century teams) Colombus (early 20th century) Ironclad Marcelle Script (also needs the swashes that come with it) Rosewood STD The Cheddar Company Trajan Pro Also note, the more fonts you have the longer your PC will take to load them at start up. It is quite noticeable, too.

I've also jumped in using the jersey creator, and it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Here's a sample of one I've created:

What is the best way to name, label or encode the logos, jerseys and caps to install them in the game properly?
The basic code would be fine... you don't have to answer the questions below if the code has all elements necessary to install successfully. Appreciate any help you can give. Does justfan's software encode the logos, jerseys and caps so you don't have to change the code? Can you just use whatever his software names the logo, jersey or cap? Is it OK to add identifying info to his code... such as HomeJerseyWhiteWithBlackScriptLettering? jerseys_Salt_Lake_City_HomeJerseyWhiteWithBlackScr iptLettering.png or jerseys_Las_Vegas_AwayJerseyGrayWithBlackBlockLett ersTrimmedRed? Do you have to identify what type of image (logo, jersey, cap) it is as the first element? logo_team_name_followed by color coding? Is it necessary to include the color code? Can there be spaces in the entry? For instance Salt Lake City? Are the underscores necessary? Is an underscore needed right before the file extension ".png"? logos_Salt_Lake_City_(info)_.png jerseys_New_York_.....(info)_.png caps_Baltimore_(info)_.png or could you code it this way? Without the underscore "_"? New_York_jersey (info).png Baltimore_cap (info).png Sorry to be long-winded... I just like to be thorough. Thanks again for all of your help. If you want the game to automatically assign jerseys and caps you'll have to use the correct game coding and place the items in the correct file folders (so the game can find them automatically). However, if you plan to assign them to teams manually (that's what I do) you can choose to name them whatever and however you want, even with or without underscores.

Justafan's software properly codes the jerseys, caps and logos. However you still need to save them to the correct folders in the game.
Normally, I save to a non-game folder where I have collected all the images for my league. Then I move the caps, logos and jerseys all at once. The game will then load these. As the post above points out, if you want to manually load the items, you can do that with any naming convention you want. The issue is that if you want to start a new game with these same logos (all or a selection of them) you will need to manually load them again. In the past, I've manually loaded and had to reload images when I started up a new league. Hope that's clear.

Thanks for the help, DreamTeams and Leo the Lip.
I will manually load the items into the game folders. I know how to do that. I was just afraid that the naming structure had to be precise. |

What I found to be useful:
I use to save my jerseys and caps as a template and as jersey/cap ... so I always can go back to the template and make changes without going back to the start.

Justafan, you're smarter than I am but have you looked into whether it's practical/possible to open up access to the template layers? What I'm picturing is having the user add template files to the appropriate folder. When the app is started, it reads in the available templates to populate the choices.
So, say I want more side panel choices. Someone creates a file similar to this: ![]() I save that in the "sidepanels" folder and the next time I run the jersey creator, I have a new choice of side panels. Thoughts?
