Hey Lukas. Could Dallas Keuchel use a bump in ratings? In the few leagues/tests i've run, he usually gets hammered hard in 2015 and finishes out in AAA. The last 2 seasons u could make an argument hes the best pitcher in the American League irl. He doesn't come close to that in ootp, from what i've seen anyway.

Going by what i see with the Jays in the newly updated rosters, your updating injuries as you go. Devin Travis and is hurt(correctly), which wasn't an opening day injury. So, maybe update Marcus Stroman then, who is now healthy and pitching on Saturday. Stroman is listed as missing 12 months.
Also think Kevin Pillar needs an update to his defensive ratings. He's a 7 in CF in the current build. This LINK has him 5th in baseball in defensive WAR. Range, error, and i'd imagine experience in CF needs to be upped so the team will play him there. Last edited by George_Bell; 09-09-2015 at 11:22 AM. |

I did adjust Pillar and gave him full experience in CF, which will fix his low ratings in next year's roster. Range and error were ok, though I gave range a slight boost. Single years of defensive metrics are well know to be very unreliable, so we'll have to see how he looks next year before making him an elite defender. |

Probably some nitpicky stuff as well, and I understand you're not updating the Sept. rosters, but looking at the Blue Jays roster I noticed a couple of player characteristics that seemed off. Maybe a bit subjective, but here goes:
David Price is showing some excellent leadership ability this year. The reports from the Jays' clubhouse are that he is making a point of doing right by his teammates. He secretly paid for dinner when a group of players met to discuss the team (I believe it was the bullpen after Lowe and Hawkins arrived). He bought the entire team personalized bathrobes. He's always at the top of the dugout steps after every inning and he's been mentoring Marcus Stroman and some of the other pitchers. I think his Leadership stat needs a bump. Marcus Stroman *really* needs an above-average work ethic. The guy worked his tail off to get through rehab and made it back to the roster even though he was expected to be gone for the whole year. Plus, he went to college when he was on the DL. (I'd have docked him for watching games on his cell phone in class though.) Also, (and I suppose this is something that can or will be addressed next year) Ryan Goin's Eye ratings should probably go up a tick. He had 5 walks last year and he's got 38 now, which probably also explains why his offensive stats are up. Last edited by JCarter93; 09-25-2015 at 02:17 PM. |

2013 Frontier League stats (and probably other indep. leagues) are missing for some players.

The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Nashville Sounds' new stadiums (and possibly the Pensacola Blue Wahoos?) are missing, and El Paso's new park is included but nameless.
In Richmond's case, they moved from Norwich CT, so their stadium is duped with the Connecticut Tigers. And while we're on the topic of ballparks, the Charlotte Knights' park is called BB&T BallPark with that capitalization, not BB&T Stadium. |

I decided to scroll randomly through the least represented nations in "explore world," and found two country errors (I'm shocked it's this few among thousands, well done!
Minor league catcher Jordan Parris is listed as being from an unknown town in Denmark. BR has him being from Tennessee: Jordan Parris Register Statistics & History | Baseball-Reference.com Jose Almarante is Dominican, not Haitian: Jose Almarante Register Statistics & History | Baseball-Reference.com Also, on the "technically correct but misleading" front, Alex Wilson is listed as Saudi. He was born in Saudi Arabia, but I believe his parents are Americans and he was raised in the states. Judgement call which one we want it to be. Same deal with Edwin Jackson and Germany Last edited by IStillDream; 12-20-2015 at 01:43 PM. |

Jose Almarante's city of birth isn't in the database. Maybe that's the problem.

Lots of past Indy stats are missing. If you really want to see them then please volunteer to collect and sort them. Otherwise, they may not make it in game anytime terribly soon.

No problem at all! Happy to help, I like these games a lot.
Actually, I found one more: Dai-Kang Yang is Taiwanese, not Japanese (although he plays in Japan) and was born in Taitung City, Taiwan |

That's intentional though, because he's considered Japanese for the roster rules irl. So since OOTP doesn't have secondary nationalities that's the only way to have him not count against the foreigner caps in game.

Incidentally, it's surprising to see how few Korean and Taiwanese players there are in the ***, given proximity and all. I wonder if it's the product of lingering resentment between the countries. |

The roster rules are part of the reason, but perhaps Japanese teams prefer North American players for their foreign roster spots for some reasons.

Part of the reason is also that the better players can just make more money staying in their home leagues, particularly in Korea. |

That makes sense. The Korean league does seem to have gotten a good bit stronger in recent years.
