Winter Leagues in OOTP

I'm starting up a Custom League in preparation for OOTP 17, and I thought about adding a Winter League. The thing is, I've never used one, and I don't know exactly how it would affect the game. So, to anyone with experience with this, how exactly does it work?

Well the winter league works exactly like in the other league like if you were going to add another major league or eight independent or an internationally. You can't transfer players from your summer league to play I'll be there for more experience so it doesn't work like in the real world winter leagues . The only difference in the game is that by default the season is shorter and it just starts in the fall. But it works just like any other league

What if you want a Winter League(as a Custom League not real life Winter League) w/162 game schedule that runs September through March?

What happens after January 1st when a lot of players retire?

Just like any other league you have a draft associated with your winter league so yes you have retired players but then you have a whole batch of young players that come In every year

I believe you can also have a minor league affiliated with your winter league

This is not entirely true. You can associate the winter league to your ML team.

Winter league players don't retire until the start of the league's offseason, IIRC.
