First of all, let me apologize if this isn't the right forum for this question, but I wasn't sure the best place to ask this question. I also apologize if this isn't the right time to ask this question since I know how hard the developers are working to get the kinks out - thanks guys!
Anyway, my question concerns the active and secondary rosters at the start of the game. I fired up a new standard 2016 game, playing as the Washington Nationals. I noticed when I went to my roster that several players who are currently on the Nationals 40-man roster are not on the 40-man in the game (RP Trevor Gott, RP Sammy Solis, RP Matt Grace, C Pedro Severino, IF Wilmer Difo, OF Matt den Dekker). If this is the case for the other teams, is there a way to clean up the rosters to make them more accurate? For the record, here is the Nationals current 40-man roster:

On a similar note, it seems when I start a new game, the game has made several decisions about the active roster for me. Like most teams, the Nationals signed several players to minor league contracts with spring training invites. They are currently not on the 25- or 40-man rosters, but are competing for such a spot. However, when I start the game, it seems that it's already decided that some ST invitees are on the active roster while others are in AA or AAA. For example, the game added ST-invitee Reed Johnson to my bench, while fellow ST-invitees Tony Campagna and Chris Heisley are in AAA (as are fellow potential backups Michael A. Taylor and Matt den Dekker). When I promoted den Dekker and tried to demote Reed Johnson, he refused the demotion, and I released him, putting me on the hook for his MLB salary. I realize the real-life Nationals are going to have to make similar decisions in the coming week or two, but if Reed Johnson doesn't make the real-life Nats and opts for free agency, the Nationals won't be on the hook for paying his MLB salary.
Since the game starts on March 19th, is there a way so that, like creating your playoff roster in October, you don't have to declare your opening day roster until opening day? It would be nice to make the roster decisions on the various spring training position, bullpen, and bench battles myself rather than having the game choose them for me.
Again, apologies if this isn't the time or place for these questions. The game itself is a blast, and I'm having a great time playing it!
