Can't Search on Mac

I am playing on a Macbook pro, and the new splash bar with buttons at the top is a bit...well, mashed, compared to 2016. The "Play" button overlaps halfway with the Team button (I can use both so this isn't a problem, just not ideas as I'll sometimes click one or the other on accident since they overlap so much.

The big problem is I cannot use the search bar whatsoever, as in I cannot click it and start typing whatsoever as it is "hidden" behind the standings and upcoming schedule. As you can imagine, this is incredibly frustrating and the only downgrade from OOTP 16 so far when the search bar was below the team name/logo.
