Good free agents remaining un-signed each year

I'm wondering if the latest patch messed something up with free agency? Many good players (mainly position players) in my long running league are now all of a sudden remaining un-signed, even when they eventually drop their demands to almost peanuts. I've had veteran stars coming off MVP seasons sit in free agency all year. I've wondered in those cases if teams don't want to sign 35+ year old players to long term deals, but if they're only asking for a 1-2 year deal and they are still highly rated..why not?

It's not a financial issue. Teams do have the available funds.

Here are some examples of players remaining un-signed in my league currently. (the really good ones I manually entered on teams so they could play)

Well this needs to be fix a.s.a.p It's a show stopper.

Remember different AI scouts may see players differently than yours. To that team that player could be 1 star.
