Online league. Swapped bad contracts with the Reds, ending up with Jay Bruce and Homer Bailey.

Jay Bruce, 50 games into his Orioles career, is hitting a nice solid .147/.222/.271 with a wRC+ of 33. Bad by even his standards.

Yeah. Bruce is just awful in the game this year. I'm slowly working my way through 2016 as GM of the Reds. My first goal was to get rid of him as quickly as possible. He hit barely .150 for me through mid-May, and I traded him to the Dodgers.

Bailey's actually doing well for me after he came back from the DL in May. His contract is still lousy, though. What were the real Reds thinking when they made that deal?

Considering his propensity for absences, you might want to consider nicknaming him "Ferris" Buehler.
