Add multiple free agents to a team at same time?

I am in commissioner mode and I am trying to manually populate teams in my new league. I would prefer to be able to add multiple free agents to a single team at the same time, versus going into everyone's card individually and adding them onto a team one at a time. I have 16 teams and 60 players per team to add, so you can see where one at a time could get time-consuming. Can anyone help me on this?

Add them all at once for a league from the league setup page using the fill command, or add them team by team from the pull down menu on the upper right of the each team's roster page.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

I'm sorry, I was a little unclear with what I wanted to do. I don't want to fill my teams with new fictional players, which I know I can do the way you describe. I have real life players sitting in the free agent pool, and I would like to be able to add them manually en masse to the teams I have created. I could go to each one of their player cards and do it one by one, but is there a way I can add, say, 40 of these real life players to a roster all at once?

Unfortunately there is no easy way in game to do so.

Maybe a free agent draft?

A free agent draft won't work because I want to control which teams players go to. I can't leave that up to chance.

I am playing in commissioner mode. Maybe I can temporarily take over (manage) a team? Do you know how I can do that? I'm not easily seeing how to do so.

export players, then re-do their teamID's.

if you can somehow sort them by intended team first, you can copy paste blocks at a time for team id's. otherwise, it's likely faster to just do it one by one in the game.

in game options, maybe?

maybe if you turn off finances temporarily, you can "tick" multiple free agents, right-click the selection and a new option becomes available to assign to your team... then "Act as" each team and repeat.

You could do a draft in commish mode. You are able to pick for each team.

I have requested in the past adding multiple free agents at the same time. This would help a lot when creating larger leagues or having expansion teams with no expansion draft.

You can click multiple players on the roster page and send them to various teams so I don't see where it could be possible with the free agent pages sending them to teams.

EDIT: I was doing one step too many. Here is a revised procedure for this.

Here's what I did:

1) Turn off financials.

2) Go to the manager tab (the one with your name on it) click and Act as ... and choose a team.

3) Go to the free agent pool and select the radio buttons of the multiple players you want to select for that team.

4) Right click and choose "Sign Players". Rinse and repeat until you are done.

5) Go back to Manager tab --> Act as .... and choose another team.

6) Keep going until all teams are done, then choose Act as ... None.

Use FA draft.

Would I have to pick each and every player individually during the draft?

You would. It would be quicker than manually entering them, but slower than changing ownership over and over and mass selecting probably.

OK. I appreciate the effort to help me control which players go to which player, although this one does not address my desire to add multiple players at once.

The changing ownership and mass select seems to be the best solution, and is in fact almost exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks for the tip.

Yes, that's the best way to do it with existing free agents.

If I picked for over 200 teams,it would take ages.

When you want to take temporary control of a team, use the "Act As" option rather than go through the motions of applying for the job. (Must be in Commish mode to do this)
