Same player's, two different seasons?
I always have two or three cherry picking(or feeder ) leagues. 1965,1977 and 1990 . Is there a way too find out what players played in 1965 and 1977(example Pete Rose,Tony Perez) plus 1977 and 1990 so I can remove the duplicates.

using export/import features and basic spreadsheet functions, you can merge lists then sort and delete duplicates with ease. you'll need teamids and player ids that were created in the destination leauge, too, if the players do not originate from that league (i.e. you may need to export from multiple leagues). there are forum posts that go over this process in detail. probably in '15 or '16 by me and by others too, i bet.
what players played in the various years? you can cross-reference exported lsits etc.. if baseball-reference has all the players listed, i know you can export their tables as csv files... again using basic functions of a spreadsheet you can figure out the answers to your questions with ease. maybe a few google searches and you can find this data already mined for the answers you seek, too. What I should do is make a master list and keep it. Go through every team in 1977 and anyone who is 32 yrs old had the possibility of playing in 1965. Likewise for 1990.
I think Jerry Grote played in 1964 but didn't play in MLB in 1965 but was still around in 1977. |
