Quick question about player histories

When I imported my OOTP16 league into OOTP17, is it normal and expected that all my player histories were deleted? Or was that a bug?

(Their leaderboard appearances still show, but all the data of signing and drafting and trades and injuries and awards is gone.)

Bonus question: is it strange that the League History Index doesn't know the awards for the season immediately past, or is that just something that will show up on January 1st?
