Underperforming Hitters
I'm 113 games into my first season with the White Sox and Abreu and Yadiel Hernandez who I signed in free agency seem to be struggling, these are their slash lines:
Abreu .232/.280/.402 Hernandez .220/.314/.337 Should I just chalk to this to maybe a one year slump or statistic outlier/bad luck? Or am I doing something wrong? Everyone else on my team seems to be doing right around where they should be. |

do you have a good scout and major league scouting budget? check their recent scouting reports. unless they've dropped off, i'd chalk it up to bad luck. pretty hard to replace a player like abreu.

Check if they are striking out a lot or if their BABIP is lower than their career norm. If it's the latter, it's more likely that they are just getting unlucky.
