Babe Ruth and the 1913 draft

For some reason now The Babe doesn't go number 1 overall in the draft,he gets drafted in the 3rd round,this is with use predefined draft value for AI checked.

This has only changed recently,as he has always went number 1 before.

I don't think pre-defined draft values and real minors work very well. I tried in beta to draft with pre-defined and it wouldn't take them in order. This was months ago though.

Real minors don't exist yet in 1914.

Im talking about the AMMY draft that happens after the 1913 season, with use predefined draft value for AI checked,The Babe should be the#1 overall pick,but he is not,this is easily recreated,so you can see what I'm talking about.

Fixed in next update. I made an error when exporting the Master file to a CSV. The program sometimes turns all the numbers to text for no reason and I did not catch it.

This isn't fixed in Update #7 PUBLIC BETA, Version 17.9.57 ....

Then the problem lies elsewhere. I'll see if I can recreate this.

Oh wait...I'll bet it is that potential no longer counts for much which many other users are pointing out as well.

I'll still test this but it looks to be that part of the program not the database may be the challenge.

Ruth only has average potential (45 of 80) but still goes 2 and 3 in my two tests.

Potential ratings may have been inadvertently altered by the program in some way. Ruth still has individual potentials in the 70's but overall they only add up to 45?

Is this only an issue with Ruth? Or is this a big issue with the latest update (historical potentials being all out of wack?)

This has been reported with Lou Gehrig, Ernie Banks and Hank Aaron as well. The way OOTP rates these players has not changed but the causation of these anomalies remains unknown. Something is causing them to be undervalued in game.

So is Gehrig just getting released and erased? Is that why I haven't been able to find him anywhere in 1923? This is no draft setup.

You would think these players not going as they should in their respective drafts especially with predefined draft value for AI checked,would be seen as a problem.

Still a problem on my MacBook Pro. Just had my 1913 rookie draft in Nov. and Ruth went 2nd round. I've notice some very good players in the previous years draft not being drafted in the 1st round (going 2nd or 3rd round) that were selected early 1st round in OOTP 16.
Bummer, makes game almost unplayable unless I just let the AI draft for me. I guess I'll go back to OOTP 16 or just stop playing for awhile.
Yes I do have pre-defined value check, base potential on entire career selected.
