Gray is represented in the Pitchers pack by a roughly airbrushed 1955 Topps image, showing a multi-color KC hat. Here is Gray with the Philadelphia A's, as evidenced by his uniform number and the narrow piping on the sleeve of his jersey. Subtle clues, to be sure.

Upon their move to KC, the A's reversed the body and outline color of their jersey logo. Here is Gray with the red body/blue outline 1955 KC A's logo, a much better KC A's representation than his airbrushed 1955 Topps card.

On the Johnny Gray post above: I believe the piping around the neck of the shirt was on the Philadelphia uniform. The baseball-reference uniform data base doesn't show piping on the KC uniform neckline.

Right. During the regular season the KC A's wore uniforms such as the one worn by Jerry Schypinski on the left. During spring training, however, they wore uniforms similar to the Philadelphia design, as shown in the photo of Lou Boudreau (who was named A's manager in November 1954) on the right.

Sadly, no. There are no Gray/Indians images in my collection.

Not sure that they are high-res shots but these scans of two Barry cola postcards (1989 and 1990) were taken with his face square to the camera and without the mustache.

Hi everyone....For fathers day I started a new project regarding the Troy Trojans and am looking for photos of the following players in any uniform or clothing:

Charlie Ahearn
Jim Egan
James (aka Fred) Haley
Jim Holdsworth
Mike Lawlor
Pat McManus
Joe Straub

Thanks for any efforts to help me with this project. I know most of these players are pretty obscure, but if any picture of one of these players exist....you are the folks to ask.

All seven of these players are on the Missing Players List which tnfoto offers for viewing as a link every time he makes a post. Many of us would be delighted if a photo turned up for any of these players, but these images have been sought for a long time without success. Charlie Ahearn is cited as Bill Ahearn on the list, but they are the same fellow. I've seen both names used for the Troy player over the years.
