Fictional league - tons of good free agents remaining un-signed

Was looking through a test league I'm simming for fun, and went to the free agency screen weeks into the season. Any ideas why this could be happening? Looks like I'll stop the sim here.

Uploaded league file: fictionaltestwba

Thanks

Could it have been an issue with using historical financials?

I switched to present day financials and reset league finances and that seems yo have done the trick. At least for now. Will sim a few more seasons and check results.

Your league's out of money. I'm not sure exactly why, but there's like 1 team in the league with even 1M available for FA. Most don't even have any money for extensions, so if it was the same case last year, there's basically not enough to go around, so there's only so much that we can adjust things.

My gut says that your scouting, development, IFA, and drafts are eating too much money relative to the revenue/payrolls. It's about 1/4 of all budgets to those, which seems to be keeping payrolls low enough that they can't afford the free agents. Not sure how exactly that would have impacted the previous year's FA crop, or if there are other things involved with it, but that's my first take.

Thanks for looking into it Matt.

I just created a default fictional league, set it to automatically adjust stategy, financials, league totals modifiers, and player creation modifiers, so it would mimic baseball history, and hit sim.

I eventually changed it to modern 2015 finances and reset all league financials and it seems to be much better now. Maybe to be on the safe side I'll just stick with modern financials for test leagues like this?

Thanks again.
