Need an Explanation

Hello folks, a lot of OOTP vets here and I am relatively new and I am having an issue with signing Free Agents. Whenever teams in my league sign a free agent, and our ML roster is full, my team signs him and then releases him. Then I have to manually edit the player and put him back on my team, but it appears I take two financial hits... I have control over my entire team (No assistant GM stuff). Anyone have advice or is this a bug?

Did you try the suggestions in the other thread you started on this?

The last post could be your issue

Yeah, checked that out, but that box is not checked. However, I see that when we sim, the AI relases/demotes players when they have been on DFA for 11 days or less. Should I switch that to 1 or 0? (I had 11 since Fidel said to do so in my on-line set-up for his servers)

You are only "acting as..." the Dover team there - the AI still actually has full control over the team in that case, so they can do whatever they want. If you actually want to be the GM of the team, you have to actually sign with them.

I am the GM of the team. I'm also the commissioner of the league, so it allows me to act as other teams. Unless I am misunderstanding how to do things.

I can only see on the screen that you're acting as the GM, so I wasn't sure if you were actually set as GM of the team, or only using the commissioner power to act as. I would generally recommend to not use the act-as for regular play, as it's possible that when acting as a team, even if it's your own team, that it could confuse who's actually in control.

To make sure that you're the real GM instead of just "acting as", click on "Available Jobs", then on "Apply As" for the position that you want.
