I recently updated to the latest version and have been unable to find a trading partner for players being shopped. I have "shopped" at minimum 20 players and have had no interest. The percentage bar runs very fast when searching. I understand that not every player I offer up will draw interest but I have always found some over paid veteran that a team wants to parts with. Has anybody else encountered this recently? Thanks

The most likely causes of this would be:
1. The players you're trying to trade cannot be dealt (recent draft picks, injured players, etc...) However, if you have tried multiple guys, that's unlikely the case for all. 2. You're trying to trade during a period where trades aren't allowed (Essentially, after the trading deadline you're much less likely to get teams to talk to you about trades) 3. Money. Either you have no budget space available, in which case you can't trade for guys who are more expensive than the guy you're trading away, or you're trying to trade with teams who have no budget room available, so they can only offer players who make less than or equal to who you're trying to shop around. Those are the most common cases of teams not willing to trade with you. Most often if your budget space is in the red, it's very hard to get a deal done by simply shopping a player. |

Sometimes, too, I have found that I forgot the player was on my "Untouchable" list and I forgot he was on there, to my chagrin.

I am in Commisioner mode. I can trade a player from the "initiate trade" screen and draw interest but not from "shop player" screen.

I had this pop up on me in a standard ML game today too. I've never seen it. I'll shop players that you know would get interest, get nothing. I'm fine w/ money and the trade deadline is not past.
The percentage bar barely shows up before I get to the screen saying no teams have offered a trade. It's weird. Help?!?! |

I have come to that issue as well, no matter what amount of contract or rating he has. Screen comes back immediately with no team offers one for one trade message.
I first noticed the problem in 'winter meetings'. This is a Standard MLB game and in my second season. Last edited by wsenkow; 08-14-2016 at 12:08 AM. |

I've found for whatever reason that if you don't, the game will not come back with any trades in Shop a Player, including ones that would be financially neutral or beneficial. I was able to reproduce it in a fresh MLB Quickstart save. This started with the .65 update. This is not an issue in the trading screen; even if you're well in the red you can still make trades there that improve your money or leave it unaffected, which is as it should be. It's just "Shop a Player" that's broken. |

No I don't. I have been given a negative budget to start the season. The problem is just as you describe but I abbreviated your comment. I wasn't aware this started with the previous update and can't recall if I attempted to 'Shop' with - FA $ available.
Thanks for your original post, at least I am not GM of the Padres, my inbox would be filled with reminders to trade for a Cy Young pitcher, and a Gold Glover. |
