1909 - Off-season

The Chicago Bruins have relocated to Minneapolis and will be known as the Golden Gophers.

Playing in the American League of Baseball they have had little to no success in their 9 seasons in Chicago and the owner sold the ball club to a business man in the Minneapolis area.

Minneapolis had a ball club back during the Midwest Baseball Association days and it has been a long time since they have had a professional baseball club to call their own.
