What a great year it would be for Cleveland if the Indians can win the World Series! Either way, I'm hoping for a fun series.

as a Cards fan, it's my duty to root against the Cubs....

as a baseball fan... gotta say it's going to be fun to witness some history here, no matter what happens. So my hope for both sides:

Chicago wins in 4 or 5 games or Cleveland wins in 6 or 7 games... that way, the home crowd can see their team win it all.

Just poking around BBRef and looking back to pre expansion (61). I realized of those 16 teams, I've seen everyone of them except the Cubs, Indians and Was (Tex) win a World Series Title.

The list will drop to 2 teams after this season.

Of all the major sports teams that existed the last time the Cubs were in the WS, every team that still exists from that year has won at least one championship. The Cubs have not.
